Kunst-Werke Berlin e. V., the association that supports KW Institute for Contemporary Art and the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, marks its thirtieth anniversary in 2021. The programme will culminate in a jubilee weekend on 18 and 19 SEP with a multifaceted programme of events and performances created in collaboration with the Performance Agency. Other highlights include the launch of a publication celebrating its 30-year history. The exhibition concept behind ›37 Räume‹ (1992) will once again be taken up in the context of the neighbourhood; visitors will be guided along the Scheunenviertel to Auguststraße 69, where interventions by the collective Jugendgremium Schattenmuseum will be shown on both days. Interventions will playfully reveal the (archival) structures and founding processes of a contemporary art institution
