Igor Vidor is a Brazilian artist. He explores mechanisms of oppression and power and how these are expressed in Brazilian social codes, primarily in urban contexts. His recent works analyse how the United States and countries in Europe have influenced the spread of violence in Brazil and Latin America by manufacturing and trading in arms. Vidor´s films ›v.a. 4598 (Rio Olympics)‹ (2016, 15 min.), ›Meat and Agony‹ (2018, 9:38 min.) and ›In Prague‹ (The Plague) (2020, 39 min) will be duscussed. Igor Vidor´s films will be presented in the IBB-Video Space from 10 SEP—4 OCT 2021.
On the day of the Artist Talk 18 SEP, all registered guests have free access to the IBB-Video Space with their previously booked ticket, to watch the films by Igor Vidor in advance. The Video Space will be open until 6 pm on this day.
Debate and exchange with the artists involved in ›Park Platz‹ are an essential part of the programme.
