Industrial Witchcraft

Industrial Witchcraft is a girlie show that brings together ›hard‹, industrial, precarious, pornographic, magical looks and reflections on production relations and (artistic) work. Industrial Witchcraft is an anti-artisanal store, anti-virtuous, welcoming but not especially cosy. We don't want to reconnect with our ancestors or lost wisdom. We want to inhabit the broken, fascist, burning, super-ordinary present of Soilent Green Ozempic capitalism. As in Ursula K. Le Guin's  ›The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction‹, we want to collect our polyphonic stories in a container—perhaps an old mayonnaise or fabric softener tub found by the roadside or by a murky river. We want to listen to Throbbing Gristle while doing so. We want to listen to Chris & Cosey and build a Karen Carpenter altar. We want to gorge ourselves on junk food—Curly Wurlys, Bugles and Quality Street—and get high and diabetic together. We want to be non-binary Suspirias. We want to create meme spells for the new trans world: fuck you, and merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again!
