Founded in 2010 by Tanja Wagner, the gallery aims to broaden the visibility of art that challenges outdated narratives, structures and hierarchies. Our represented artists have different experiences and global perspectives. Their work offers new visions and sensibilities towards relating to ourselves and society.
Our programme is based on a collaborative curatorial approach and an ambition to building an inclusive and gender balanced art market. Establishing a strong sense of connectedness is an essential part of reaching this goal. We are particularly dedicated to contextualizing our exhibitions with artist talks, performances, thematic group exhibitions, and community building events.
We cherish deep relationships with our artists and strive to provide them with a comprehensive platform that meets their individual needs for their artistic development, whilst fostering close and cooperative connections with collectors, curators, and institutions across the world.
Working across a variety of mediums, our artists have received critical acclaim participating in prestigious exhibitions, biennales, and art fairs (i.e. Venice Biennale, Manifesta, Art Basel Unlimited, Frieze London, Armory Show, Art Cologne), as well as acquisitions by distinguished public, corporate and private collections such as TATE Modern; The National Gallery of Canada; Belvedere, Vienna; Albertinum, Dresden amongst others.
Tanja Wagner is passionate about establishing equality in the arts, which she regularly contributes to through conferences, university speaking engagements, catalogues, and other publications.
