»What’s up today?«, we ask a number of prominent figures from the city’s culture scene about their Berlin Art Week plans. Collector Julia Stoschek shares her plans for Saturday 18 SEP.

Alexandra Bircken at Kindl—Centre for Contemporary Art
I would like to see Alexandra Bircken’s exhibition at Kindl—Centre for Contemporary Art. It was high time that she finally has a solo exhibition in Berlin. I’m happy that with Kindl, a private institution has taken the initiative. I think Bircken’s sculptures are very compelling in the way they investigate the relationship between body and machine.

30 Years of KW Institute for Contemporary Art
Of course, I won’t miss the program at KW Institute for Contemporary Art celebrating 30 years of this institution, which is so very important for Berlin and also for me. Krist Gruijthuijsen and Pansy put together a fantastic programme. It feels hard to choose a favourite, but I’m very curious about Colin Self’s performance ›Four Criminal Ballads‹ and I’m looking forward to my friend Peaches’ concert. Another Berlin icon!

And at JSC Collection we show ›A Fire In My Belly‹ during Berlin Art Week, an extensive presentation of our collection with works by more than 30 artists—come by!
