On the occasion of Berlin Art Week, Villa Romana (Florence) and the Georg Kolbe Museum (Berlin) are celebrating their anniversaries together. In a retrospective and outlook on their 120- and 75-year histories respectively, they reflect on their heritage and their present as artists' houses. Georg Kolbe was one of the first winners of the Villa Romana Prize in 1905, and in 1928 he built himself a studio house in Charlottenburg, where the museum is located today.
