On Saturday, 14th September 2024, as part of Berlin Art Week, the performance titled Die 9. Sinfonie und die Dichte des Waldes will take place. Theresa Weber often works collaboratively, particularly in her performances with recurring partners. For the exhibition Alle Menschen werden Brüder at Neun Kelche, she will once again collaborate with Afro-German sound artist Nathanael Amadou Kliebhan. The focus of the performance will be Weber’s costume-like textile sculptures, or Woven Bodies, which will be activated by other performers. The Woven Bodies can be seen as extensions of the body, questioning what gives cultural meaning to the body. They connect the individual with a network of past and present, ancestors, and contemporaries. Following this is a performative reading by the artist, who uses her poetic texts to open up further access to her artistic research into Afro-German history and "white-passing".
