DIGITAL ART LAB

The DIGITAL ART LAB, part of the Berlin Art Week 2023, will be the first digital art venue in a festival setting at the Haus am Lützowplatz (HaL). The occasion is the exhibition Unleashed Utopias. Artistic Speculations on the Present and Future in the Metaverse, produced by the VR ART PRIZE by DKB in cooperation with CAA Berlin, which will be on display from 8 SEP— 5 NOV at the HaL.   

PANELS of renowned artists and experts from the digital art field will provide insights into the world of virtual reality art and its effects on the art world. TALKS will supply inspiring ideas on current topics, while the CODING ART LAB will make it possible for participants to develop their own digital applications, as well as understand and apply the creative process behind digital art. In addition, there will be a variety of programmed events that will furnish visitors with opportunities for direct conversations that will help them familiarize themselves with the forms of artistic expression employed by the stipendiaries of the VR ART PRIZE.

The DIGITAL ART LAB will create a special space for the exploration of digital art and sharpen awareness of the significance of VR art in the contemporary art scene.
