Sustainability in art and culture goes far beyond reducing the carbon footprint. More and more institutions are aiming to make a lasting social contribution. Take the European roving biennial Manifesta, now preparing for its sixteenth edition in the Ruhr region. Or E-Werk Luckenwalde, where artist Pablo Wendel not only generates green energy but has also created a new cultural hub for the town.
