Teilestraße 11—13, Hof 2, 3. OG, Aufgang C, 12099 Berlin
soft power is located in a former factory building in Teilestraße 11—13, 12099 Berlin-Tempelhof. The bus stop ›Rohdestraße‹ (M46) is located right outside the building (entrance through gate 3). The path from the bus stop to the stairs/elevator is paved and concrete—given the location (an industrial area) the path is not even at all times. If you have any questions about how to get to soft power in advance please email us to [email protected].
soft power is located on the 3rd floor and can be reached via the stairs and a freight elevator. If you need to use the elevator, we will assist you on site.
soft power is an independent art space, appropriating with its name a political term that describes and uses the influence which ›soft‹ assets such as culture and art can have on political and economic spheres. Through exhibitions and other formats, artistic directors Eva Herrmann and Linnéa Bake are working on critically examining ›soft power‹ as a conceptual framework, guided by the question how this ambiguous notion can be challenged and reclaimed from various artistic perspectives.
Dedicated to an unlikely form of knowledge production–one where hospitality and discourse are inseparable—Pickle Bar, is a non-profit art space in Moabit, Berlin, under artistic direction of Anastasia Marukhina, with a focus on performative and discursive formats. Thematic programmes invite investigation and animation of the area between the roof of the mouth and the tongue, cutting across spoken word, poetry, and politics, and exploring the limits of ideologies and the edges of belief systems.
