BERLIN ART WEEK—THE FESTIVAL FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
Berlin Art Week is the largest gathering of Berlin’s contemporary art scene and marks the beginning of the city’s art season for both local and international audiences. From 10—14 SEP 2025, this five-day festival features special exhibitions, performances, film screenings, and talks across the city. Discover, engage with, and discuss contemporary art in Berlin.
On Thursday, the 12th edition of Positions Berlin Art Fair opens at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. The fair brings together a mix of national and international galleries, presenting both emerging artists and established names. In the evening, galleries across the city host exhibition openings as part of Gallery Night.
Friday highlights Berlin’s independent scene: Across the city, from Mitte to the outer districts, initiatives and project spaces present special programmes. An evening Featured Night welcomes visitors with extended hours and events. A day to discover emerging talents and contemporary art off the beaten path.
The final day of Berlin Art Week brings everything together: artist talks, programmes at the Berlin Art Week Garten, and guided tours through exhibitions and project spaces. A perfect chance to discover personal highlights. The day concludes with ›Another Sunday Afternoon‹ at Fahrbereitschaft in Lichtenberg.
