Berlin Art Week is a contemporary art festival and major collaboration between important institutions in the Berlin art world. Every year for five days in September, the festival presents a diverse programme with more than 100 partners, from museums and exhibition venues to art fairs, private collections and project spaces as well as numerous galleries. For the art scene as well as the press, the festival is one of the most important events in the cultural calendar and offers a stage for all artists.
Berlin Art Week 2024 kicks off on 11 September. With over 300 events, including more than 70 exhibition openings, the 13th edition of the festival week will once again transform the capital into a vibrant stage for contemporary art. From international greats to emerging Berlin talents, the latest developments in contemporary art will be on display in more than 100 renowned museums and exhibition spaces, private collections, project spaces, a fair, and numerous galleries throughout the city.
Since its founding in 2012 with eleven partners, Berlin Art Week now brings together more than 100 partners from all over the city. In addition to an established base, the circle of partners is extended and thus reshaped annually through jury procedures and other special formats. A diverse group of participants is thus created in different selection processes and via the respective specialist juries.
