Podcast ›Sound of Ghosts‹ with Sung Tieu

Every first Thursday of the month, we can look forward to a new podcast from the Hamburger Bahnhof—Museum für Gegenwart—Berlin as part of the Volkswagen Art4All Online Edition, which has been publishing its programme of lectures, screenings, talks with artists, performances and multilingual guided tours in form of podcasts and videos since April. Since last week, you can hear and see: ›Sound of Ghosts‹―a conversation between curator Anna-Catharina Gebbers and artist Sung Tieu about her research on sound and image and how she captures field recordings, sound rituals and the sound of ghosts. Sung Tieu is one of several artists who will be shown in the group exhibition ›Magical Soup‹ at Hamburger Bahnhof during Berlin Art Week. In addition to the regular opening hours, the exhibition will be open on 9 SEP with special opening hours in the evening, ›From Six till Nine‹. The works of Sung Tieu will also be shown at Berlin Art Week at the project space Peles Empire, where she will be exhibited together with Nona Inescu and Jimmy Robert in the exhibition ›touch‹.

Podcast series ›Kontinent—Auf der Suche nach Europa‹ with Harald Hauswald, among others

Ostkreuz—Agentur der Fotografen has launched a podcast series in cooperation with the Akademie der Künste to accompany the joint exhibition›Kontinent—Auf der Suche nach Europa‹, which starts in October. Twice a week—always on Mondays and Thursdays—a new episode will appear in which photographers talk to journalist and author Anja Maier about their work in the exhibition. In the first episode, the curator of the exhibition, Ingo Taubhorn, is on spotlight and reports on the origins and basic ideas of the joint project. In the seventh episode, which was published last week, Harald Hauswald reflects on his work ›Railroad Ticket—Auf den Spuren des Orient Express‹ and why he photographed with his smartphone. A retrospective on the Ostkreuz photographer will open at C/O Berlin during Berlin Art Week.
