YOUR VISIT
We are delighted to welcome you to the 11th edition of Berlin Art Week, held 14—18 SEP 2022. As with past years, the 2022 programme includes a wide variety of exhibitions, openings, award ceremonies, and tours. Read on for practical advice for planning your visit to Berlin Art Week—from information about ticket purchases to barrier-free accessibility and hotel recommendations.
This year’s ›BAW Garden‹, held at Uferhallen in Berlin’s Wedding district, will host a five-day, free open air programme of workshops, performances, talks, and DJ sets. While you’re there, take the opportunity to explore the grounds: the studio hub will feature a range of exhibitions, open studios, and interventions by on-site artists. Our staff will be on hand to answer questions about the citywide festival programme, and visitors are also welcome to linger over a bite or a drink at Café Pförtner. See here for everything you need to know about the Festival Centre.
A number of special events, exhibitions, and openings can be attended free of charge during Berlin Art Week. Please visit the respective locations for more information on ticketing and admission prices.
Some events such as guided tours, performances, and screenings require advance registration. Information on how to register can be found at the respective event.
As part of the Kultursommerfestival, on the final day of the festival week—Sunday 18 SEP—participants will be opening their doors free of admission. The free admission Sunday is intended once again to help abolish access barriers to art and cultural institutions and to actively enable the cultural participation of all visitors and those interested in art.
Exceptions: Positions Berlin Art Fair, Boros Collection, The Feuerle Collection, Hallen #3 Wilhelm Hallen, Exhibitions and Events as part of the 12. Berlin Biennale (Akademie der Künste, Hamburger Bahnhof, KW Institute for Contemporary Art), Gropius Bau
