Hannah Hallermann: Sewing

Miettinen Collection
Marburger Straße 3, , 10789 Berlin

In her solo exhibition ›Sewing‹ at the Miettinen Collection Berlin, the artist Hannah Hallermann interweaves archery, sculpture and textiles in a multilayered installation. Her approach transforms a weapon into a tool for sewing. In doing so, she explores how acts of division and polarization might be redirected towards attention and acts of relating.

›Sewing‹ understands repair as a process of conscious observation and stands for holding tension and difference. Hannah Hallermann's work is currently on view in  ›Caged Movements‹ (NADAN, Berlin) and the sculpture triennial ›Connection and Cohesion‹ in Bingen. Upcoming exhibitions include Tell Me Where Home Is at the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg (from 18 SEP) and ›Baggage Claim‹ in Mexico City. Most recently, her solo exhibition ›Adjusting‹ was on view atSexauer gallery, showroon in Berlin.
