Salvo was one of the most distinctive voices in postwar Italian art. Initially associated with Conceptual art and the circles surrounding Arte Povera, he made the radical decision in the early 1970s to devote himself exclusively to painting, developing a singular body of luminous landscapes and cityscapes that fused art historical tradition with a deeply personal vision. On the occasion of Berlin Art Week, Sprüth Magers is pleased to present an exhibition of works by Salvo.
