Special features for Berlin Art Week 2020 in Monopol, Freitag and Tagesspiegel

There’s something to read! As every year, newspapers and magazines report on Berlin Art Week and present the diverse programme of exhibitions, openings, interventions, fairs and art prizes. Today we would like to draw your attention to three extensive and content-rich special supplements.

The new Monopol has just been published today, including the ›Special Issue Berlin Art Week 2020‹. Here you can already read all about Berlin Art Week and the autumn art season in the capital. Programme notes and insights are lined up with more extensive interviews or portraits: Christian Jankowski, for example, who is exhibiting at the private collection Fluentum during Berlin Art Week, talks about his astonishingly productive creative phase during the Corona pandemic, the works of the artist Lerato Shadi, who will be on view at the Kindl―Centre for Contemporary Art from 11 SEP 2020, are presented, as is Marc Bauer, this year’s Gasag Art Prize winner. An extensive list of the event programme is also included. Did you enjoy your reading? Then we invite you to 14 issues of Monopol for the price of 11! Click here for the offer!

Der Freitag will publish its comprehensive special on Berlin Art Week on 3 SEP 2020. Look forward to a contribution by Sarah Alberti on the work of artist Hans Haacke, whose poster and banner campaign ›We (all) are the people‹ will be reissued citywide for Berlin Art Week. Also included in the special edition: A review of the project space The Watch, which stands as one last GDR border guard tower not far from the Kreuzberg tourist hotspots, as well as a homage to the GDR photographer Harald Hauswald, whose retrospective will be shown at C/O Berlin. With an exclusive Berlin Art Week subscription, you can now read the weekly newspaper for 3 weeks free of charge and receive the special edition directly to your home! Click here to subscribe.

The Tagesspiegel will dedicate a complete special issue to art on 5 SEP. The entire Saturday issue will feature works of art by Berlin artists, and there will also be reports on art in the city in the newspaper sections from Politics to Berlin to Sports: What is hanging in the ministries, what does the young gallery owner Anahita Sadighi say about equal rights in art? In addition, the Berlin Art Week Special will appear on 9 SEP 2020, just in time for the start of Berlin Art Week. It will provide you with detailed information about the exhibition programme and the art events in the city, including Gallery Weekend and Berlin Biennale, with lots of tips and recommendations for indoors, outdoors and at home. Don’t miss the art focus at the beginning of September and read the Tagesspiegel for the next 30 days free of charge! Click here for the exclusive subscription for friends of Berlin Art Week.
