Andreas Eriksson with Kim Chong Hak

As part of Gallery Night

neugerriemschneider—Christinenstraße
Christinenstraße 18—19, 10119 Berlin

Andreas Eriksson (b. 1975, Björsäter, Sweden) works primarily in painting, which he expands upon with photography, film, silkscreen, weaving and sculpture. Painting is both a subject and a method for Eriksson, and much of his work is concerned with metaphors of painting. His work often references the varied landscapes that surround his home in Medelplana, on Lake Vänern in Sweden.

His work is included in the collections of the Musée national d’art moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; mumok, Vienna; Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo; Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk; and Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul, amongst others. In 2011 works by Eriksson were featured in the Nordic Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale.

For Berlin Art Week 2026, two exhibitions with Andreas Eriksson will open simultaneously at Barbara Wien and neugerriemschneider.

Further details about the exhibition with Andreas Eriksson and Kim Chong Hak to follow soon.
