Ersan Mondtag and Nadim Samman are staging a Berlin vanitas performance at the Gemäldegalerie, engaging in dialogue with living and deceased Old Masters. Acting as a bridge between theatre and museum, 25 performers from different generations will create a tableau vivant, performing scenes that explore themes of transience and renewal, disappearance and endurance. Renowned actors, singers, dancers and figures from Berlin’s nightlife scene will be among the cast, including Frank Büttner, Eva-Maria Keller, Sema Poyraz, WestBam and Louis Hofmann.
