Es geht voran! 1.Kreuzberger Kunstfilmfestival

›Es geht voran!‹ explores the concept of progress—between new beginnings, stagnation, and social change. The festival brings together international video works that engage with public space and open up new perspectives on what it means to move forward today.

The festival presents a Moving Image Sculpture—a mobile exhibition structure that combines video works, sculpture, and performative spatial practices. As it travels through Kreuzberg, it transforms streets and squares into temporary venues for contemporary video art. Passersby become visitors, and the urban space itself becomes part of the exhibition.

The festival approaches the theme of progress from personal, social, and political perspectives and questions linear notions of development, growth, and the future.

Day 1 (9 SEP, 3—8pm): Berlin Art Week Garten at Kulturforum

Day 2 (11 SEP, 3—10pm): Route between Mehringplatz, Oranienplatz, and Mariannenplatz.

Day 3 (12 SEP, 3—8pm): Franckepark

Berlinartfilms is a platform for film and video art in public spaces founded by Marian Luft and Moritz Frei. With their Moving Image Sculptures, they develop mobile exhibition formats for film and video works outside of institutional spaces.
