We are pleased to invite you to KW Institute for Contemporary Art on the occasion of Berlin Art Week on Wednesday, 9 SEP 2026 from 4—9pm, with extended opening hours and free admission! Visit our current exhibition as part of the ›Kyiv Biennial—A Bird That Cannot Land‹.
KW is an exhibition space in Berlin-Mitte. Our mission is to engage with the central questions of our time through the production, presentation, and discussion of art. Without a permanent collection, flexibility and openness lie at the heart of what makes KW special, as well as our ability to create dynamic and timely, changing programming that resonates with our times.
The Kyiv Biennial, a nomadic and international project, will celebrate its eleventh anniversary in 2026 with exhibitions and events in several European cities. This year, under the title ›A Bird That Cannot Land‹, art, sound, and discourse will be presented throughout the KW building in Berlin. In addition to works by transnational artists, there will also be an extensive live programme that gives visibility and a voice to members of Berlin’s diaspora communities.
Come by—see you at KW!
