As part of Featured 2026
Veteranenstraße 21, 10119 Berlin
The way through Acud Kunsthaus is on ground level, but has many different surfaces and is uneven with bricks and cobblestones. The passage from the entrance to the yard can be dark sometimes. The Acud Gallery has barriers for people with walking disabilities. In front of the gallery are two steps, but there is a ground level entrance in the back to the main space. The upper level is only accessible by nine stairs. We are happy to be of assistance. If you have any questions in advance let us know via mail: [email protected].
The barrierfree WC is usually accessible by elevator on the 1st floor, but currently the elevator is out of order. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we’re working on a new elevator. A wheelchair accessible city toilet is on the other side of the street: https://goo.gl/maps/i9QWBeEXAcsUjthw5
Acud Galerie is the exhibition space of Acud Macht Neu e.V., founded in 1991 in Berlin-Mitte. The gallery presents an ongoing programme that creates spaces for encounters between different artistic practices, perspectives, and forms of knowledge. Through collaborations with artists, curators, and cultural practitioners, the team initiates projects that unfold over time.
Acud Galerie understands exhibitions as evolving situations that support processes in which ideas, relationships, and practices can develop through exchange, allowing unexpected connections to emerge and different voices to exist alongside one another. Projects often extend into performative, sonic, and discursive formats, creating spaces for collective reflection and varied forms of engagement.
Recent programme has explored the intersections of memory, embodiment, and collective care, tracing how displacement, kinship, and vulnerability shape shared space. Continuing its commitment to feminist, queer, and decolonial practices, Acud Galerie positions art as a space for social cooperation, critical reflection, and public discourse.
