The Kindl—Centre for Contemporary Art is an extraordinary exhibition venue in Berlin. Since 2016, important positions in international contemporary art have been shown in the building complex of the former Kindl brewery in Neukölln. The exhibition programme under the artistic direction of Kathrin Becker includes several major exhibitions each year. In addition to the three-storey Maschinenhaus, in which monographic and thematic exhibitions are presented in parallel, the twenty-metre-high hall of the Kesselhaus offers a spectacular exhibition venue. Once a year, an artist is invited to create a specific work for this unique space, which remains on view there for around nine months. Events such as artist talks, discussions, and concerts supplement the Kindl programme.
