Giselle & Juliet

Giselle & Juliet is a two-part curatorial fiction staged between Marseille and Berlin, in which two eponymous heroines—each rooted in a distinct literary lineage—come together. One draws inspiration from opera, with its dramaturgical economy of entrances, reprises, and exits; the other draws from writing, where discourse unfolds through delay, revision, and omission.

The project treats these references as a working method: each chapter becomes a distinct mode of expression. What circulates is not a fixed program, but a shared archive of texts, scores, recordings, and performance instructions. This archive is activated in each context through performances and readings, evolving in response to new spaces, acoustics, and forms of attention.
