Rita Burster has been nominated for the VBKI-Preis Berliner Galerien in 2026. Founded in 2014, galerie burster has operated a second location in Karlsruhe alongside its Berlin-Kreuzberg gallery since 2018. The gallery’s programme focuses on emerging German and international artists working across painting, installation, photography, performance, and digital media.

That I’d find art so fascinating.

My family, sport, and the occasional afternoon nap.

One of David Hockney’s swimming pool paintings. I love swimming.
