During Berlin Art Week, Radin serves as co-curator of the Featured programme Art/Platte of PLATTE.Berlin: performances, sound works, DJ sets, and daily interventions transform the prefabricated apartment building in Berlin-Mitte into a vibrant space for encounter and exchange.
Do you have a daily ritual that gives you structure or inspiration?
Every day I say words gratitude for where I am at in life and the privilege to be an artist and say thank you to God and the ancestors.
What would you do if time, money, and other resources were no object?
I think I will still be doing the same thing, create works of art, share it with the community, travel even more, just celebrating the beauty and uniqueness of life.
Has there been a book that fundamentally changed your perspective—and why would you recommend it?
Cheikh Anta Diop’s ›Nations Nègres et Culture‹. I recommend this book because it shooked the western and worlwilde perspective of where, who and what was the Egyptian civilisation and inform on the credo of our actual civilisation.
What do you wish you had known earlier?
Financial literacy.
Where do you recharge your batteries?
I recharge my batteries while practicing dance or travelling back to Guadeloupe and France to see family.
Is there a work of art you would love to have in your home?
Yes, it’s the painting ›The Jungle‹ from Wifredo Lam.
Which exhibition venue in Berlin inspires you?
Here a few venues that inspire me in Berlin: Savvy Contemporary, Spore Initiative, HKW, Esther Schipper, Gemäldegalerie and Platte. I’m inspired by how Platte manage to merge fashion and art together, while making community and try to propose new experimental ways.
What fascinates you about Berlin?
The multifaceted aspect of Berlin is quite fascinating. Each in isolation but a whole world every time. You can navigate those worlds as you wish.
What’s one item you couldn’t live without?
Pen and paper.

Love, the drive to create and my family.

Cheikh Anta Diop. I would love to discuss some of his research and just listening to him talking about his work.
